The second survey of terrestrial wildlife resources in Tibet lasted more than eight years from 2012 to 2020, and the work was completed successfully and achieved fruitful results.According to the survey, the number of terrestrial wild vertebrate species in Tibet has increased to 1,072. Five new species have been officially published, five species have been newly recorded in China and 20 species have been newly recorded in the Tibet Autonomous Region.Trail cameras played a big part in this investigation.
